The family farm
The Hosking family has farmed at Fentongollan since 1883. The farm is in a beautiful situation in the heart of Cornwall on the banks of the Fal estuary, where we grow daffodil bulbs, vegetable plants, cereals and produce early fat lambs from our flock of Dorset sheep alongside the specialist horticultural enterprises.
160 acres of daffodils are grown for the sale of cut flowers and dry bulbs.
These are sold in this country and exported to Holland. Fentongollan has
one of the widest ranging lists of home grown varieties available for sale in
the country. We take great care of the health of our bulb stocks and
cherish the reputation that Cornwall has for being one of the finest growing
areas in the world for daffodils and narcissi.
We get enormous pleasure from all of the almost unrivalled collection of
flowering bulbs grown here on the farm. In total we have over 250 varieties
including many that are new or unique.
Our bulb shop at the farm is open during the months of August, September
and October.
